My name is Kirk Wahl. I have been inspecting homes since 1988. I began working in the building trades in 1977. I have been a licensed builder since 1990.

I completed a carpenters apprenticeship, and I am a journeyman carpenter. I have worked as a pipefitter and a journeyman plumber. I also have extensive experience in electrical, masonery, and mechanical systems.
If you hear or see someone saying they are a licensed home inspector, you should know the State of Michigan does not require licensing or training for home inspectors. I find it ridiculous that the person who cuts your hair must have a license, but the person inspecting the largest investment you will ever make, does not. This makes it far more difficult for you to find a qualified inspector.
