Why can’t I do it myself?

Even the most experienced buyer lacks the expertise of a professional Home Inspector. A Wahl Home Inspector is thoroughly familiar with the procedures of home construction, proper installation, maintenance and home safety. He knows how the home’s systems and components are intended to function together, as well as why they fail. Above all, most buyers find it difficult to remain completely objective and unemotional about the house they really want, and this may have an effect on their judgment. For accurate information, it is best to obtain an impartial, third-party opinion by a Professional Home Inspector.

What happens if my house fails the inspection?

A Wahl Home Inspection is not an appraisal. It is also not a code inspection. It will not determine compliance to local or state codes. It is not a pass/fail examination. It is merely an objective picture of the current physical condition of home components and systems which may be in need of major repair or replacement.

What if the report reveals problems?

No house is perfect. If our inspection identifies problems, it does not mean you should or should not buy the house. It simply means that you will know in advance what to expect from your purchase. It will allow you to properly budget to make necessary repairs. If you do not want to become involved in future repair work, this information will be invaluable to you. If major problems are found, a seller may agree to make repairs, or you may choose to not proceed with the purchase.
